Crocodile rattan furniture is made of solid rattan vine wood which has the original outer skin with the beautiful tone imitating a crocodile left intact. Crocodile rattan can be woven using the full thickness of the wood or the wood can sometimes be split. All rattan is bent into shape by steaming until the reeds become pliable. The colour of crocodile rattan will vary from natural deep rich tones which imitate a crocodile skin to bleached natural tones.

Care for Croco rattan as for solid rattan furniture. Rattan enjoys moisture and can be used outside during summer months. Clean Croco rattan with a garden hose or a shower when soiled. Avoid leaving your rattan in constant moisture or rain as the nails and screws used in the joinery of the wood frame will rust and affect the stability of the frame over time. Use seat cushions to evenly distribute weight and added comfort.
